Signal Peak in the Pinal Mountains, Jim Burns, renowned outdoor writer/photographer based in Scottsdale, Arizona will lead a birding expedition. Jim has been photographing birds and other wildlife for over 20 years and has written three books illustrated with his images. A $25 per person fee includes transportation, a box lunch and water. B&M Wildlife Area, Celebrate the heritage, ecology, history and wildlife of the area where the Gila, Salt and Agua Fria rivers meet. BISBEE: Fiesta de las Aves
The Festival of the Birds is a traveling affair, with activities taking place at a series of outstanding birding locations in Cochise and Santa Cruz counties, including the Huachuca and Chiricahua Mountains, San Pedro River, and Patagonia. PAYSON: Payson Wildlife Fair
Green Valley Park, a carnival full of wildlife and hands-on outdoor activities for all. Parents and kids can fish, play games, and get a close-up look at wildlife, including birds of prey, rattlesnakes and Gila monsters. No fishing license is required for fair attendees and equipment and bait can be borrowed from the free fishing booth at the fair.
